The Educated Horsemen Adult Riding Camp is a relaxed, after-work riding experience for adults who want to learn something new and leave feeling confident, calm, and reconnected to the outdoors.

Offered year-round, this is a one-hour group riding lesson led by Mr. Ray. Classes begin at 6pm and 7pm, Monday through Friday. No experience is necessary. Mr. Ray meets every rider exactly where they are and makes sure the whole group feels confident and safe in the saddle. One note for the colder months: horses tend to be a little friskier in the winter, and Mr. Ray will make sure you are ready for it.

After your lesson, take a little time to unwind on the farm, watch the horses settle in for the evening, and enjoy the quiet that is hard to find this close to the city. Cold water is provided. Guests are welcome to bring their own refreshments to enjoy during the brief post-ride wind-down.

Weekend availability is by appointment. Groups are capped at 5 riders per session.

Join us on a Saturday morning for a guided group trail ride through the Maryland countryside. Mr. Ray leads the ride from start to finish, so no experience is necessary. First-timers and seasoned riders are equally welcome.

Trail rides start at $100 per person.

For groups of five or more, we can arrange a brunch right here on the farm for an additional cost. We work with a preferred caterer for our farm events, and once your event is booked, we will connect you directly with them so you can choose the menu that works best for your group. Chicken and waffles are always a favorite, but the menu can be tailored to the experience you want to create.

If you would prefer to bring your own caterer, you are welcome to do so for an additional outside catering fee.

Good company, open air, great food, and horses. There are very few better ways to spend a Saturday morning within an hour of Washington DC.

Trail rides run Saturdays year-round. Space is limited and spots fill quickly.

Weekdays and Sundays are available upon request.

Events start at $250 an hour. We work with you to shape the experience around your gathering.

Horses can be part of the experience, but they do not have to be. Some groups may want guided trail rides or group lessons with Mr. Ray as part of their event. Others may simply want to gather in a beautiful rural setting, enjoy the open air, and let the farm's beauty, character, and quiet become the backdrop for their celebration.
